Poor Customer Service, High Prices, Don't refund money

This has been a terrible experience! Every problem I had took forever to get a response IF they even responded at all!! I had placed several support chats or support emails that they NEVER responded to. I looked at my listed support tickets and they closed them without any interaction with me or one which should still be open now they closed (they took my $ and still not showed item as paid) three separate time I have had to open PayPal disputes with them. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Many of their products are very cheap but they charge outrageous prices, they say they don't take a cut of each item they sell but I don't believe it because the cost is so high on some items you could walk into a store and buy them off the shelf for the same $ or cheaper!

Terrible Company, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH DOBA

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Doba takes bait and switch to the next level. They had a nice seemingly nice sales person there sell me an account, (spoke to Tracy and Josh) I bought the lifetime membership for 1k, just to find out that the jokes on me. There is nothing wholesale about Doba. The suppliers on their sell you their items for more than they list it on Amazon. I went into this looking for a dropshipping partner/provider but DOBA is in the business of making money of me. If you are looking to start an honest e-commerce business, slow down, do free tutorials online and try to understand the process. Its unfortunate that companies like this would lie directly to your face. Doba has been a hindrance to my e-commerce business.

Its never too late to get your money back:

If your reading this or if you feel that you have been scammed by this Business do the following: First thing Tommorrow

1-Put a letter in writing and send it to their corporate office in Utah, address it to the President of the company. Send this letter certified mail so someone will have to sign for it and you will have proof it was delivered to them.

In the letter you are to request a full refund of your money. State that you have not made a single sale. That you have followed their money back guidelines. Give them a few days to respond.

2-If after 7 days you dont hear back from Doba and Im guessing you wont. Thats ok, Its their loss you gave them a chance to solve the problem. They failed! Now its time to bring in the big dogs!

You want to go online and file complaints with the following 3 offices: Better Business Bureau of Utah, the State Attorney Generals office of Utah and the Federal Trade Commission. After that grab a drink and some popcorn and wait for the phone to ring. I guarantee you you will not only receive a call with an apology from the Presidents office. You will also be told that the refund is on the way to you.

3- Cash your check, Deposit your money, and go out and buy yourself a nice meal for all your hard (wink wink) work.

4 Make a promise to yourself to never do business with companies like Doba again. fyi- I have never had any scenario in dealing with any business no matter how shady they were, where these 3 organizations werent able to help me. In fact, it was only after I complained to the agencies listed above and they got involved the companies always seemed to magically want to do everything possible to satisfy me to get me to go away.

Try it! Works every time lol

Let me get this straight you get a lifetime membership that normally cost $5400? You are an *** for not knowing how to run a business online in the 1st place. Before you slander an individual maybe you should learn how to think critically!

DOBA IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A MUST READ TESTIMONY

At first, I wanted to start selling items online and I thought Doba was the perfect partner to start my online business. I called customer service and they assured me a guaranteed satisfaction. They also promised me MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. After signing up with Doba, I paid $300 of my HARD EARNED MONEY! The catch for this whole "business" is to log in 4x in a month.

My problems started when I ABSOLUTELY made NO SALE. It made me realize that the profit margin was UNREASONABLY LOW. The items were priced too high and the shipment cost twice from what you pay for in Amazon and Ebay.

There were instances that I called their customer service center and made my complaints. I even requested for my money back. Their "agents" explained that my membership cannot be withdrawn until my subscription ended in 15 months; including the $300 I paid them.

When my membership officially expired on July 15 2015, I called Doba's customer service center. I requested to have my money refunded back to me. They gave me numerous excuses after another. They explained that my logging in to their web did not reach at least 4x in a month. I was 100% certain that I logged in more than 4x in a month; almost everyday and couple of times in a day. To make the story short, "DOBA stole my money!"

The moral lesson of this story is never ever invest your money to a company whose credentials are not very well-known. DOBA is a company founded by liars and scam artists (with no morals nor values) who prey on innocent people. I made a mistake and I am asking you all not repeat what I have done.

Trial turned into Credit Card Charges

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Went to sign up for their trial, got to credit card part, backed away. Got call from their Sales Person, who assured me I would not be charged to try their service. Cancelled after 10 days (their prices are more retail than wholesale) but because they use a specific phone number for cancellations only (can't do it online, through your account or through the sales person you are in contact with or through their regular phone number) I have no proof that I did call and cancel. This phone is not always answered, and you cannot leave a message either. Spoke to 3 people at doba about this and each of them spewed the same stuff - it's in our terms of agreement, no we will not refund, you agreed, etc., etc. I never authorized the charge so will be needing to get it reversed through my credit card company. Don't get duped yourself. Stay away from this supplier. They make money from dishonest practices not from being a great Dropship Company.

Doba sign up scam avoid free trials

Signed up to Doba from it's own online advertising for 3 mth free trials. After providing signup AND credit card details you get billed a monthly fee!To cancel you have only one option - you must contact them by phone which they do not answer! Excuses made by pointing to terms and conditions which are vague and poorly written e.g go to settings button which does not exist. A 3 month trial according to Online chat has to be done by phone although there is no information on the website to corroborate this assertion. Also wholesale prices are actually more close to retail prices. AVOID! Do not sign up for free trial scam.

Don't use DOBA they are a SCAM!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Please people read the reviews on this company. They are a scam. They are there for one purpose only and that is to take your money. Even if you follow their ridiculous rules to get your money back they just lie and say you didn't log in and meet your quota. It appears very few people ever get a refund. Most likely because I am sure 90% of all people request one once they have tried there service and realize you can buy the items on Ebay/Amazon for way less. They would go out of business if they gave refunds like they are suppose to. I am seriously considering looking into a lawsuit against them. I feel if enough people get behind this we would have a good class action lawsuit.

Horrible services ... do not trust money back guarantees!

First, I would like to say how hard it is to write something like this because you can't always tell the whole story so there are a lot of other problems with this company that I have experienced. Please take everything into account before purchasing their services. So I purchased Doba's drop shipping service a couple of weeks ago and everything about it was disappointing. First of all, I did look around for reviews but didn't really find much which made me a little weary at first but I still decided to try it out. After I had the free trial and I knew that I could export the products into a file specifically made for my shopping cart (Go Daddy Quick Shopping Cart) I decided to purchase so I could sell their products on my company's website. As many of you know, times are very hard and the reason for doing this was because they offered a lot of popular products that are hard to get without buying an excessive amount of bulk. After agreeing to the terms of paying $59.95, I went into the product export to get started as fast as I could so I could start making money. But wait, here pops up a window saying that product export wasn't included in the $59.95 price! So now, I have to upgrade to the $69.95 plan. No problem ... not too big of a difference and I'll probably be able to get enough profit to make it worth while. So I clicked on the box to upgrade. It said since I already payed the $59.95 that I would only be charged $5.00 to upgrade to the $69.95 package, which kind of fooled me at first because I was wondering how $59.95 + $5.00 = $69.95? Anyways ... I continued.1 day later I looked at my bank statement because I was planning on ordering stock that day for the orders my website had and I saw two charges from Doba! One for $59.95 and one for $69.95. This screwed up my whole bank account and I wasn't able to order stock for the orders I had pending on my website. (Please keep in mind this stock is totally unrelated to Doba). So I called, which by the way they don't have a number on their website so their phone number was hard to find. I was told no problem it was a glitch in the system and that the $59.95 charge would be removed. After the phone call ended, I decided to get on the Doba website and finally start my first export. The product export was not available during the free trial in the format for GoDaddy so I wasn't really able to see what would happen when I tried it because it wasn't formatted the correct way. Well, when I did the first export, I clicked on the DVD's, Movie's & Games category. Then I clicked the button that said "select all" and then I clicked select every page. When I clicked the proper export for Godaddy, it told me that I could only export 9999 products at a time, which was no big deal because I was just testing it out anyways. So I clicked continue. When the file was fully saved to my computer I went into the GoDaddy Quick Shopping Cart and clicked on import. When I imported the file it very quickly said upload successful. This seemed odd that a file with 9,999 products was uploading so quickly but I disregarded that and went to my store preview. In the store preview it showed 2 products! These products had no pictures either and a very short description that didn't tell much about the products at all. Now I was upset. I'm paying $70 a month for this service and it's not even working correctly. So I called Doba again to cancel. Keep in mind, this was one day after I approved the charge. When you call Doba, there is a phone system. This system will tell you whether or not they are open. It will say "Thank you for calling Doba. Your call may be recorded for quality & training purposes. We ask that you have your retailer ID ready ...." and it will continue. If they are closed, it will say "Thank You for calling Doba, we are currently closed..." and then it will continue on to say their business hours. When calling Doba to cancel (1 day after signing up), their phone system thanked me for calling and I realized they were open. After it said everything it needed to, I was told to please hold. I sat on that phone for over 10 minutes waiting for an answer! Now realizing how frustrated I am right now by how hard I'm hitting the keys on my keyboard, I should've not even waited that long. Finally, I was forwarded to their general mailbox where I shared my frustration with their services. I stated that I was unhappy that they didn't answer the phone during their business hours and that their service was not working correctly. I told them my retailer ID and that I wanted to cancel my account and get a refund for the service that I could not use. I left my name and number and told them to call me back if they had any questions.Later on that night, I figured that a message might not work to cancel the account so I decided to call back the next day. The next day I called and called and called, but still the phone just rang with no answer. Still, the phone system says they're open and it WAS a weekday. After calling back several times day after day without an answer, I finally figured that they probable got the message and just cancelled the account out.So ... I looked at my bank statement yesterday after having to place another order for stock and what happens? I can't do it again because Doba decided to pull out another $70 two weeks too early! I signed up for their service on March 15 and then they charged me then and then again on the 1st. I decided to give 'em another call. The fun was about to begin. This time, somebody picked up. The same person I talked to twice already when I had to call Doba (once for technical issues and once for the double charge). I began to suspect that this business was a one-man show. I explained to the "representative" that I called and cancelled the service way back in March and that I never received a refund and that I was charged again! He told me that he remembered talking to me and he looked up my account by my phone number. He said that the second charge of $70 on April 1 could be removed as a courtesy but they would have to keep the other $70 on March 15. This really got me angry. I asked him if he was having a hard time with money and that he counted on somebody to help him out by ordering a service to make things easier and they didn't do anything but take more money away from you how would that make you feel? He didn't have an answer. All he said was that I agreed to the terms that were set forth about Doba when I signed up.Well .... let's talk terms and conditionsRIGHT ON DOBA'S WEBSITE: We are so confident with our service that we offer a 100% money back guarantee if you are unable to recoup on your initial purchase in product sales by the end of your membership.Does that sound like a money back guarantee to me? Sure does. So this guy is telling me that the reason that the product files are not working is because it's on Go Daddy's end. He's still trying to defend his company after all of this. He said that Go Daddy doesn't allow images to be linked to the product imports/exports. That's when I said, "Ok, even then it doesn't explain why 9,999 products turned into 2." He still didn't have anything to say about that either. He said it's on their part not theirs. He was raising his voice over mine so much that I couldn't even explain myself to him.I am seeking my money back for their *** service that they supposedly have a 100% money back guarantee on. Again, I would like to thank you for taking time out of your day to read this. I hope this helps you. There is a lot in here that I wasn't able to add because it is a long and dreadful story, even worse than I made it sound here. I want you to save your money for something worthwhile. This is not a good investment if it isn't going to help you in the long run. I lost money and that's the exact opposite of what their service was supposed to do. It is really hard to write something like this and it takes a lot of time out of somebody's day so I would like all of you to take into account that just because there's only one bad review from me may only be because nobody else had the time or effort to sit down and write one. Good luck to anyone who decides to go with Doba. I wish you the best but all I know is that I'm glad I didn't lose more money. Just think, I almost signed up for their annual membership.

Doba subscriber

I subscribed to Doba, I based in NZ and compared to others dropship directories Doba make huge promises on their website. I had huge problems downloading their products and kept on emailing them, then I tried to call no answer, waited for a long time and send an email to cancel my account but they charged me for 2 more months, then I went into their live chat to cancel my account, but they kept on insisting to call them for cancellation - Doba insist that all problems including their aweful customer service is user error! incredible - and no refund. You can complain as much as you like to Doba, it is a no responsibillity attitude but they will take your money for not providing the service we pay for - I have been ripped off. Not only that all their products and inventories have outdated information and not real time. Don't use them they are a fraudulent company and a scam.

Doba Money back guarantee is false

I joined Doba and decided it wasn't for me. I did what they said to get my money back. You have to log in every month at least 4 times a month. Which I did. Of course the month before my trial was up, they said that I didn't log in at all. LIARS!!!!!CHEATS!!!!!!Why would I not log in a month before my trial was up? I had a funny feeling that this company would do something like this and they did. Check out this company on the internet. They have several complaints. I wish I would have checked them out before I joined.

Money back garantee is false

I signed in for doba but was unsatisfied with their prices, which were more expensive than some regular retail online stores, but when i tried to cancel the person in charge of my account told me i was unable to cancel until the end of the contract and if i haven't sold a certain amount i would get my fees back guaranteed. So i followed his directions and stopped using the site so i could get my money back. And now my contracted finished and they were telling me that since i did not used much of their services i can't get the money back guaranteed.

DO NOT DOBA

I viewed an online ad about drop shipping and was immediately bombarded by several young men from Utah and Los Angeles offering online services thru DOBA. I had heard they were bad news from experienced online sales people but they said they had a "turn key" program for just $550. They LIED! When I signed up, they disclosed an additional $35/mos. fee for the web site. If you're paying extra each month - it's not a "Flat Fee" "Turn Key" program. I tried to get my money back but they refused saying I had to use the program for a year and get no results before I could cancel. This is FRAUD. Beware of UTAH Call Centers and DOBA; they should be called Do Bad! Stay away from these online SCAM artists!

Doba sucks! bea aware of your trial membership

When you sign for a trial membership you automatically accept that they won't give you your money back. After you sing you start getting call from them offering you to upgrade your membership but keep the fact that if you cancel you wont get your money back. The service is part of eBay and it is a rip-off because most of the time the don't have the merchandise so you are stuck with a sale that you can't fulfill. Their customer service is another piece of garbage. It is just another money maker cow for eBay.

Unless you want to pay the fee they charge for their services monthly/yearly dont even think about signing up for the Trial Membership...its a scam. They automatically charge this money to your credit card.

You can't even unsubscribe by accessing your account, you actually have to call them to do so, which is difficult as their customer service is not reliable!! Be aware

Doba

I signed up with doba.com just to see their prices since you cannot view them without an account. They had a "Guaranteed Lowest Prices" and a 7 day trial, so I signed up to see what they offer. What a mistake that was. Doba prices (for electronics) are not cheaper than anyone's, (I found some prices cheaper at Wal-Mart). They do not guarantee the lowest prices, and they do not have a 7 day trial once they get your billing information. I canceled my account just 3 days into the "trial" and had a *** of a time trying to get them to cancel it. They charged my credit card $199 during their free trial period and said they will not refund my $199 when I canceled my account, which is still open!

Then they call me again two different times later in the month to try to upgrade me a new service plan. I told them again I'm not interested and cancel my account, but to this day it is still open. I called my credit card that day I canceled to challenge the charge and so far it looks like I will not be paying $199 for nothing.

I recommend anyone do not even think of signing up with Doba.com. They have nothing good to offer you but take your money.

Try calling your credit card company and request to block that charge. Do not take no for an answer. Doba is a ripoff company and they do not deserve a dime.

I signed with Doba for their free trial, the next thing I knew they were charging my account for that so-called FREE TRIAL. I want to know what is the best way to stop them from charging my account each month
